My First Post

You may know what the Last Post is: a bugle call used at military funerals. You probably recognize it when you hear it. (By the way, “lastpost” –single word– means something like “nuisance” or “troublemaker” in Dutch.)

But what about the First Post? Is there something “predefined” that you are supposed to write in your first blog post –the blogger’s equivalent of the programmer’s “Hello World”? Are you supposed to tell something about yourself, a few basic facts that you don’t mind sharing, a little confession that won’t embarrass you when you read it back two days (or ten years) from now?

I don’t know.

Great way to start a blog: “I don’t know.”

But I guess it’s better than starting your blog by admitting you’re a “lastpost”…
